So upon sleeping on it (or not because the wind was crazy, which made the cats crazy and kept me up all night) And re-reading the instructions for this weeks disquiet junto (0482 Exactly that Gap), I decided I could easily do this.
While driving to my parents for our weekly dinner and chat, I figured, why not Bach Suites? I’ve played enough of them over the years that recording a 2-second snippet is not hard.
I chose movements from the 1st, 2nd and 5th suites. Due to the haiku 5-7-5 format, I had to leave some movements out, but I did make sure to include snippets from the first and last movements of each suite, which in the case of the 1st, 2nd and 5th were preludes and gigues.
So I give you Bratsche Bach the Gap- which is a 5-syllable haiku line in itself (sometimes I’m way too clever).
